Ruslan Morris
Ruslan became Chairman of SESI at the Subud World Congress in Christchurch. Ruslan has lived in Jakarta since 1970. A US citizen, graduate of Amherst College and Stanford (M.A. Economy) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), he brings depth and experience to his role through the diversity of his professional career and volunteer service. At one time he was a securities analyst in New York, a fund manager, and a member of a finance-tax committee at Indonesian's largest timber joint venture. Since 1990 he’s been the managing director for resort development at the Club Bali Group, (P.T. Loka Wisata Asri), in Jakarta. Ruslan is a helper, is married to Rahaju Koosman Morris and has six children. Some of his other Subud roles have included director of Kalimantan Gold Corporation and Kalimantan Investment Corporation from 2000-2001 and advisor to Bank Susila Bakti and Sekolah Cita Buana, a Subud run school in Jakarta. In addition, Ruslan is the founder of the Indonesian Handicapped Artists Foundation and is a Brain Gym and Touch for Health Instructor, holistic health practices based on kinesiology.
Rashad Pollard
Rashad is a consultant to oversees development programs, based in Virginia, USA. For 25-years he has specialized in designing and evaluating programs to deliver health services in low-income countries through making partnerships between the public, NGO and private sectors, for major international donors. Before moving to the USA Rashad was the Marketing Manager of the S.Widjojo Building in Jakarta and Director of the team that initially developed the Subud Township in Kalimantan. In 1970 he founded what became the largest advertising agency in Jakarta after working in Singapore, Thailand, Iran and the UK. He joined Subud in Bangkok in 1964. He is the SESI Coordinator for the joint Micro-Credit project with SDIA and MSF and leads the ‘Virtual Finance Institution’ working group.
Harris Madden
Harris has over thirty years experience in creativity, education and technology based businesses. He is currently Managing Partner in a small international executive search firm based in Sydney. During his career, Harris has been involved in a number of Subud enterprises. These include private businesses such as Creative Design & Technologies – which won international acclaim for its creativity and originality – and larger collective enterprises such as Project Sunrise which had a major impact on the development of Darling Harbour in Sydney. Harris has also managed the technology commercialization practice for a major Australian university and more recently was CEO of a private sector university college offering tertiary education to international students. Harris is presently chairman of his local group, Subud Sydney Northshore. His projects for SESI include overseeing the development and operation of the SESI website.
